Check them out first on http://www.rippoffreport.com but just read the reviews…don’t count them out if they HAVE reviews…as bank of american has like 2500 negative reviews…and everyone still banks there for some reason.
Its a scam all they do is scan your registry and then tell u theres a bunch of problems. most of these registry scanners have malware so you’ll end up paying them to mess your computer up.
A sure fire way to speed your computer up is maintenance.
Download and install auslogics disk defragmenter its free
this will defrag your whole hard drive
now download and install
Avast! this is also free now scan with full system your computer for viruses
download and install malwarebytes scan with full system your computer now do a disk cleanup
start-> accessories-> system tools-> disk cleanup mark everything
Your computer should be alot faster
NO! Most definitely, no!
I have tried some sorts of websites some time ago and screwed my PC.
Try using just an antivirus and to have installed the free edition of malwarebyte’s(this helps with spyware an stuff)
Websites, no they just steal your information
get a good virus program like avg free and then you can buy things that defrag or clean registry they should speed it up by getting rid of ‘loose’ files and moving them to a quicker location
(uniblue speed up my pc, registry mechanic, cc cleaner)
i also recommend reinstalling windows at least once a year and then installing all software to get rid of useless things and wasted programs
i really don’t know but try using windows help section that should help.
They are mostly scams
They have you do things that you can do for free
Here is a microsoft link
http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/maintenance/speed.aspx
Get a good cleaner – I have used this one for some ten years. Free and a safe download.
Free, both a drive cleaner and registry cleaner
Try CCleaner
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/downloa…
I use the piriform link
Install, uncheck the freeChrome/google toolbar if you don’t want it
the first time it scans a warning pops up, it won’t erase anything thats
important. I have used it for over ten years on XP, Win2k, Vista and now
Win7.
Next let it scan your registry, let it fix all it finds, it won’t harm your computer
I never do the backup
close it and reboot. see if you are running faster
Hope this helps
