Clean Registry and Optimize PC
First what you need to do is fix java.Open up control panel,and if using XP click on Java icon,or in Vista,click on Additional Options and click java and do an up date,to see if helps on java script,also run windows defender to see if script damaged do to a virus.The only registry cleaner I would recomend is CCleaner,have it make a copy of registry before the clean up in case you need something.Messing around in registry can leed to many problems.Maybe download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and do a full scan to clean script file,then see if McAfee will down load,or go to McAfee site and do an online scan for free.Just go Easy on Registry cleaners.

Ccleaner is free and very user friendly
Personally I’m not a fan of Mcafee but I’m not here to judge you
