It doesn’t download anything without your permission or anything that wasn’t in the file you’re using it to download. If it does than that’s just because it as already in whatever file you were downloading originally, not the program.
Also, I’d get Avast! instead, if you’re worried. Norton gets annoying after a while, it’s costly, and it constantly bugs you about renewing it when you run out. Avast! is free and it works great o you won’t have to worry, even if you do.
No it wont until and unless the shared or downloaded file is virus infected. P2P shared files are most probably infected and you could get into risk if caught.

its because your downloading illegal
software or music or movies and if you get infected thats your problem
