   GIMP is an open source alternative "photoshop". It has been there for years and would never carry in its files malwares. download it officially on there site. If you download it elsewhere then most probably it would carry malwares. Or maybe it was just a false positive generated by your scanner. About Registry cleaner…

   never heard of… the Registry Cleaner 2008 sounds much more like adware…

   never had problem with gimp

   I GOD DAMN FUCKING HOPE NOT!!! I just downloaded GIMP. I hate it, and it couldn’t hold a candle to Adobe Photoshop. I’m thinking of erasing it, because you can easily edit photos on MS Paint better, that’s how bad GIMP is. I suggest trashing GIMP.
