for example if I go to www.wikipedia.com it works. If i do a search on yahoo, google, etc and then try to go it does nothing just freezes and I have to reboot. This goes for any website or search I try to perform. No error messages just freezes up.
I have done spyware, malware, clean registry etc, cache, firewall turn off, run mcafee and windows programs reinstall etc. Please I need something more! Is this a virus? what else could it be? Everything else with the computer is fine not slow plenty of memory etc. Just the prob with the search.

Most likely your registry is bloated and overstuffed with an assortment of useless pieces of data. There will be bits of programs which were not completely uninstalled, parts of programs which were never completely installed, fragments of miscellaneous data, useless drivers, and a multitude of other bits and pieces.
