Some viruses and trojans will not allow you to update windows, as it will make your system safe.
The best way is to install another anti-virus, probably stinger from mcafee, its free and no need to install, its a standalone anti-virus. Also, uninstall all your free games and pirated software which you got in internet as most of those are infested by trojans and malicious codes which was modified.
You should really do a Full Reinstall of the OS .
This question is a couple of days old, so I hope the problem is fixed for you.
If not, when you’re internet is working, do this:
Restart your computer and tap F8 key repeatedly. When screen comes up, choose Safe Mode with Networking. Download Malwarebytes (if internet is working):http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Run a full scan and delete what it finds because you definitely have a virus.
After that, run ANOTHER quick scan and delete what it finds.
To be on the safe side, do a System Restore (will NOT erase your files).
Restart computer and tap F11> choose System Restore (with backup)> Pick a restore dte that is a few days before you started having trouble.
After the restore is done, run ANOTHER full scan with Malwarebytes.
