Is there anyone that can tell me where I can purchase a really good,safe and reliable registry cleaner for windows XP? I’ve been searching all day and according to McAffee Site Advisor, most of them were bogus or either reviews on most of them were bad or not worth the money. I am looking in the range from .00 – .00. If anyone can help me I sure would appreciate it. Thanks so much!!

First of all, I don’t recommend anyone using a registry cleaner unless they’re pretty well versed in what the registry is and what its function is…as well as how badly you can pooch your computer if you do the wrong thing.
That being said, I’d say the safest one on the market is Registry Mechanic.

Be warned though. If it prompts you to remove something that you even slightly suspect that you might need later, don’t remove it. If you DO mess something up, it has a registry backup and restore feature.
