Google protects itself from automated scripts by asking you to enter a CAPTCHA code if it detects an irregular amount of automated queries sent from your machine. These pages provides only a warning that your PC may be infected with malware, but it never try to sell you any software, it only warns you about an potential infection, it is up to you what you do about your malware problem. If you want to complete the search you started you need to enter the characters in the image presented to you.
If this "google security" page isn’t hosted on google.com (in other words google.com needs to be the top-level domain) then get away from the page is quickly as possible.
These warnings (whether they come from Google or not) are often a good indication that something is fishy on your PC, so you may want to scan your PC with some anti-malware software. Scan your PC with any of the free Online Scanners listed on this page:

This is a trick. Do not buy any software it offers you. Go to these websites. Download their free software. Install it, update and then scan your computer. Remove or quarantine what they find.

This sounds more like spyware than a virus. A virus would have shut you down. This is a browser redirector – which is spyware. Why do you not already have spyware on your computer? It seems to me that not having your computer protected against viruses and spyware is the height of arrogance. You think it won’t happen to you? Apparently it did. Get SuperAntiSpyware and run a full scan. Remove everything it finds. Thereafter, update it weekly – run it weekly and you’ll stop stuff like this!
