Clean Registry and Optimize PC
Some other Skype users that I know got this same message last night.
It is definitely a scam. DON’T TRUST IT!!!
If you go to the link (don’t do it by the way) it brings up a webpage that simulates a Windows desktop undergoing a virus scan, and then a fake messages pops up telling you that your computer is infected and you need to download some new files to fix the virus.
Then, ……. it tells you that you have to pay $19.00 for the files you need.
You should report this to Skype and block the sender from your contact list.
just got skype, had 1 friend on here got same message, didnt click it cause iam cautious my nature. googled it and got this as only link, ran a virus scan for avg didnt get any so iam stayin away from it
No, it is a false report. Delete it now
Please tell me you didn’t click on the link.. That’s a scam dear and an infection you now have on your computer. Download Malwarebytes from the link below. Update it and choose a quick scan. Good luck!!
