no, go for it.
‘Disk Cleanup’ doesn’t really do a very good job. It can leave literally 1000’s of files to clutter up your system.
A better choice is "Windows Washer" from Webroot Software. You can download a 30 day trial version here:http://www.webroot.com/shoppingcart/tryme.php?bjpc=4060&vcode=DT01&id=DOWNLOADS_WW_FreeTrial
I use this software for my customers in my computer shop and it is absolutely the best. You will be amazed at how much junk it gets rid of. The trial version is a full working version, but it ends in 30 days. Still it will help you greatly, and you may find it worth spending $29.95 on for the full version.
Good Luck.
no,I do one every evening right before I shut down my PC.
No, Microsoft has designed the program to clean out only non-critical files and to compress personal files.
It is perfectly safe to run and disk clean-up. I would also recommend running the disk defragment as well it will help with speed and computer accuracy.
If you have windows xp or higher I would recommend a weekly defragment as it will help your computer stay running fast and in good condition for about seven years before the software is outdated.
Yes, if you want to read any system error messages, retrieve anything you accidentally deleted or use any offline webpages you had stored then you won’t be able to access those.
This site says:
To keep a PC running smoothly, regular maintenance is critical. Many users shy away from maintenance tasks, thinking it is a long, drawn out manual affair, but the Disk Cleanup Utility can easily determine which files on a hard drive may no longer be needed and delete those files. In addition to freeing up potentially significant amounts of hard drive space, using Disk Cleanup on a regular basis can significantly improve system performance.

no all disk cleanup does is moves everything on your computer to make more space. No files will be deleted.
it shouldnt.make sure you back up all your files in a CD/DVD so you have them with you to re-import should anything disastrous happen. other than that, nothing should ‘mess up’, you need to be more clear in what section are you talking about?
nothing will happen to the harddrive’s functionality
and nothing should happen to the computer’s mainframe
just excess garbage that slows down the pc will be removed,
but that excess garbage may also be your most important files, so make sure you be careful to store all of your files on backup beforehand.
go under my computer.
search for defragment and clean disc
it can generally dosnt but it can
No it won’t mess anything up. It generally is looking for temp files and such that are inactive. It will not alert you to get rid of anything that is for a program or something you need.
it shouldn’t. It just helps make your computer run faster. think of it as cleaning your bedroom. it makes it so its easier to find things and not have to trip over dirty clothes and books everywhere.
not if you have back ups of important things
NO.
No, it’s something that should be done on a regular basis. Just verify what’s in the recycle bin and temp folder that you might have second thoughts about permanently deleting
