   Maybe you have a BIG program on it and your computer doesn’t have a lot of RAM or video memory on it.

   Try booting in safe mode…and see if it still locks up. It could be something that’s running in background when you start it up normally.

   Honestly, I have seen most times when your computer starts freezing up running special maintenance software seldom helps.

   Go to contol panel –> Event Viewer.

   See all events around the time when you are getting locked up/frozen computer.

   Generally, it will show you exactly what is causing the problem.

   If it is not a disk error, my suggestion will be to back up all the data you need to and reformat the disk and reinstall the Operating system & applications.

   And also get rid of those maintenance bloatwares.
