yah if yer running windows, it has diskclean up under tools, and your better off to stay away from that auslogic defrag i had it before and it f u c k s up your normal windows defrag, with sp2, also when running diskclean, be careul not to go to the advance option and delete any window files,it’ll say the window compents yer not using,,YAH THATS RIGHT!if you want to delete programs look under addremove programs,,i thought you just wanted to delete temp files and such! cute picture by the way,
first of all
i guess i would start with….
clicking on start
click on control panel
click on "add or remove programs
then a box will appear and it will tell u some things, that have been used since you got them
the older files just right click on them and click delete
and that will clear up
make sure you delete older software like lets sayy
microsoft word2000
and now u have
microsoft word 08 or w/e
beides tha just go into ur documents and click on old stuff
just right click on em and send to the recycle bin
once there highlight all that u put in there from deletion(not a word lol) and it will be gone
hope this help
i tried to be simple
1. Get yourself an external hard drive and transfer all your music, pictures and so on onto it. You will free up ALL of the room you have used with your files. You can get an external hard drive for £50 now days.
2. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/expert/northrup_restoreperf.mspx and here will guide you through all the steps to clean up all the unwanted files.
3. After these 3 steps have been completed, your PC will be running just fine :-).
( Also make sure you have a good anti-virus installed, viruses really make your PC slugish, i use Norton Anti Virus )
If you’re talking about unwanted files, you’ll have to just delete each one manually. Doing a cleanup only deletes unused files from programs that don’t exist. They won’t delete the programs you don’t want or pictures. So first go to start>Control Panel>Add or remove software and look for programs you no longer want and click remove. Go into my documents and review each file and see if there are things you no longer want. The biggest wastes of space are games and pictures. When you are done removing what you no longer want, run a defrag on your computer.
call a computer repair man out and have him/her take a look at it .they may have to take it in to the shop . they will take off every thing to clean it then remove the bad files and any other files that are slowing your computer or is infecting it. then they will put every thing back on .
then when you get it back it should work as good as new .
most likely the only part of the computer he will have to take into the shop is the tower .
hope this helps you .
Defrangmentate your hard drive also. This will be under system maintainance in control panel. This compresses youre hard disk drive and creates space meaning youre computer doesnt have to search for ages and will massivly speed up the performance. Also, if you go into control panel > add remove programs, you can uninstall any unwanted software. I hope this helped you.
1.) Download CCleaner and clean up the junk!
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
2.) Go through your hard drive manually and just go through things you created. You may find old files that are worthless and you don’t need anymore. Delete them, but make sure to empty the recycling bin!
3.) Use Eusing Registry Cleaner to make sure your registry is in tip-top shape.
http://eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm
4.) Defrag your hard drive and your registry after cleaning out the junk!
Reg defrag- http://www.auslogics.com/registry-defrag
Disk defrag- http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag
TRY EVONSOFT COMPUTER REPAIR.ITS FREE.IT WILL SCAN AND CLEAN SPYWARE,REGISTRY,PRIVACY BOTS AND HARDDRIVE JUNK FILES.
Your computer should have disk cleanup under system tools. Which will help get rid of some of the bulk. Another tool that helps find unwanted programs is Windows Defender. Free from the windows website if that is your operating system.
well i’m guessing that you have a pc….a quick fix is to get rid of it and go get a mac….but if you can’t/won’t do that, then go to the control panel click on the add/remove programs icon and then from there remove whichever programs you don’t want….after that try clearing your temporary internet files….in internet explorer go to TOOLS then internet options then click on delete cookies and delete files…. after that try defragging you pc by going to all programs….accessories….system tools then DISK DEFRAGMENTER…after that you should be ok….maybe try upgrading your memory and/or processor….maybe a bigger harddrive if it’s an older computer….or just get a mac! 🙂 later
