How can i get rid of messenger alerts telling me to go download DLpatch.com and others?

I have tried the Ad-Aware SE personal, but i still get three or four anoying windows messenger alerts telling me to go download registry repair software and a DLPATCH etc. I feel they have gotten into my registry and i need to kill them!!!!!

turn off update alerts. simple.
