   sometimes getting rid of winfixer isnt that simple.
   try out different scanning programs such as Norton, Adaware SE, Spyware search and destroy, McAfee.
   If none of those work then, if running windows xp, backup your data and run a system restore, otherwise you will need to reformat the disk
   I had this problem before and winfixer was imbedded extremely deeply, so i had to reformat the hard drive

   winfixer is horrible and downloaded itself onto my computer causing my computer to crash. Matter of fact it just popped up again. If it has already scanned your computer and is not just a normal popup then go to your programs and delete it and restart your computer.

   OK, these things are tricky, and I am assuming you are using Win XP. This is the best procedure to get rid of ‘hard to remove’ annoyances:
