As soon as I start my Internet Explorer, a winfixer window pops up asking me to install the software. IE crashes within 2 minutes of this pop-up. I’ve used Ad-aware and MS Antispyware, but they couldn’t help me. Can you?

I had this problem and my solution was to restore my computer from a ealrier date when I know it was not on there. You may loose some saved information/data but it is worth it in my opinion.
There a number of ways to remove winfixer which involve playing with your registry. If you are an advanced user and are comfortable with such operations, then you can google for websites that have solution. On the other hand you can use third party software like Computer Associate pestpatro . it shd do the job!.
