   If your virus/spyware free, there are a couple things you can do get your computer working faster. If you using your computer for normal stuff and not gaming. You don’t always need more RAM you just need to perform a few maintenance task.

   First, if you haven’t cleaned your registry in a while. This is necessary. Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC’s resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed. Do a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.

   It is to be advised to check all your programs. Then if it is not the problem, you must check the RAM of your computer. Optimize your computer by removing unnecesary items like offline temporary, or unused programs and files.

   Then check others like the inside part of the cpu like the fan, check it if it is cleaned. If not then have it professionally cleaned.

    That’s one of the problems w/ AntiVirus software, it takes a large amount of system resources to run. If your computer is an older model, you should simply turn off the antivirus software. Usually, w/ Norton at least, despite the fact you turn the software off it will still block viruses, trojans, and spyware from getting on your computer if something tries to gain access. Other than turning of the antivirus, make sure you run Disk Defragmenter which will reorganize your files to make them open more quickly. I do that once every quarter of the year. Other than that, just delete any programs you don’t use to free up space on your hard drive. If that doesn’t help, it’s time to get a new PC.

    To make your computer fast delete old documents and installments that you don’t need anymore, also you can buy an external hard drive which can store your pictures and documents. There will be more storage on the computer and it will think faster. If this doesn’t work take it to the shop.

    You have to find out why it’s slow and fix that problem. there are dozens of possibilities, and "fixing" some of them if they aren’t broken could make the situation worse. (Replacing the spark plugs won’t make the car go faster if the tires are flat.)

    If system restore still works,try going back to before you had the virus.Although it sounds like you still have some potential malware.Run Malwarebytes and /or Super AntiSpyware,in safe mode.Run Ccleaner,then restore if you can.Still,a complete reinstall may be best.
