   get ccleaner run that, defrag the drive ,minimize number of programs running at the same time.
   these will improve speed your processes should be 23 or less for optimum performance of course more memory fater hdd and motherboard FSB will make a larger impact
   remeber cpu +FSB speed plus Fast access to harddrive and fast hard drive speed (ie 10,000 or 15,000 rpm ) will go much faster then a slow clunky drive at 7200 rpm let alone the still available 5400 rpm drives

   yes there is and no there isnt because you can delete every info in your computer to free some space and it will go faster or buy a giga byte card

   Yes, delete all unwanted files.
   Empty your internet cache
   Delete all of the files in your temp folder
   Uninstall all programs you are not using
   This one is tricky but turn off all services you are not using. Do a web search for windows services to find out more

   Run a disk defrag

   Deleting some of the garbage would help. How much memory do you have? What is your processor speed?
