several ways
1 delete anything you don’t use or want (a few gigabytes of free space on your hard drive makes a big difference)
2 hold the windows key and push pause/break
this brings up the system properties
click the advanced tab
under performance click settings
go to the advanced tab again
under virtual memory click change
make this about 3gb or 3192mb
this will make things open, close, and run smoother.
if you think there’s even a possibility there’s a virus run anti-virus
I suggest

The problem with slow computers is that most of the time. It’s all to do with a hidden part of your system .This part of your system is called the ‘registry’ and is a huge database which stores all the settings and options for your PC.The reason why the registry is responsible for making your computer run slow is because it is actually prone to getting corrupt and damaged. Because Windows is constantly using the database when you’re using your computer, it’s constantly got 100’s of registry files open. This unfortunately means that Windows gets confused, leading it to save the registry files wrong, making them incredibly difficult for your computer to read. Think of them as files which are all jumbled up, making your computer have to spend longer to read them. You just need to be able to clean out all the damaged files from the registry, allowing Windows to read all the files it needs, when it needs them. And to do this, you just need to use a tool called a ‘registry cleaner’.I should like to commend Registry Easy to you !http://clean-computer-run-quickly.com
I would suggest you to use reginout.
you can always purchase more RAM (Random Access Memory) like a 4GB ram card would make it pretty quick and you could get the part and labour for about £70-£80 or you could get a 2GB or 3GB for less.
That depends on whether it was ever faster and why it’s not faster. Read http://webdingers.com/wordpress/2009/07/faster/
(Adding RAM doesn’t speed up a computer. It will make programs run faster if you;’re running more programs than you have RAM for. So will running fewer programs.)
buy more rams they doesn’t cost a lot
