Possibly an easier way would be to run your pointer over the icons in task bar in the bottom right of your computer screen. If you hover the pointer over them the name of the program running will be displayed.
I have trend anti virus and that name appears. Norton’s and AVG anti virus do the same. If you need to stop the program running right click on the icon and select "exit". Pop up blockers are a feature of toolbars now. These can be found and deactivated again, by hovering the pointer over the icon on the tool bar and selecting to deactivate the pop up blocker if there is one there.

This will tell you a lot about what is on your computer, such as running programmes, cookies, History, settings etc. and will help you clean up and remove unwanted items. Be careful how you use it as it is a very powerful programme and you should read the help index before you do anything with it.
Hope this information is of help to you and others.
