   ..i cant really say but maybe the hdd is currupted and needs a clean sweep…i know that dont help much but all i can think of with this info. srry

   Yes the hard drive is obviously working, however it was configured to run in your old system. What you need to do is put a Windows XP or Vista full version disk in your CD/DVD drive and reinstall Windows OS on it fresh again.

   It is possible, but know that all the hardware drivers for your "old" computer are programmed into this one. And Windows XP and above were programmed to allow X number of changes before it would not work.

   Try this. Boot up into Safe-mode. Pull all the drivers in the device manager and reboot–> Won’t guarantee that it will work, but it does sometimes.
