   Well first thing is first what version of iMovie do you have?

   If you are using iMovie ’09 or ’11 then adding scrolling text is fairly easy all you have to do is click the "T" button on the right hand side of the screen in-between the photo and transition buttons. Once you do this look for "Scrolling Credits" or "Far Far Away" and drag one or the other into your project. Once done in the preview window for your project you will see a field were you can edit the text. Once you’ve got the speed and timing down publish your video and you should have what you want
