How do I back up my registry in Windows XP?

I got a program to clean and tweak the registry but I want to back it up first to be safe. I am running Windows XP.

A really good free cleaner is at http://www.ccleaner.com

It has a built in backup feature that stores the registry in My Documents.

Go to the start menu,
Click run,
Type in regedit, (it will open the Registry Editor)
Highlight My Computer in left box of registry editor,
Click File in Registry Editor drop down menu
Click export, and choose a place to save it to.

And Thats It!!!
