I have never tried this but it MIGHT work. Virtual clone drive will let you mount an iso image and run it as if it were really on an optical drive. It looks like it is freeware and not a demo.
Good luck
Well, in your case.. It would be best to have that image burned to a dvd or something similar. However, since you say you can’t, you might be able to just mount it on a virtual drive (power iso or similar program can give you one). While doing a network boot, you’ll need a floppy of some sort that can point to the location of the boot file. This floppy needs to be configured on your working machine. Just go to the help and support center and type book disk. Create this disk and insert it on the machine that needs to be fixed.
Another option will be using norton ghost or a similar program that will allow you to install over the network by using an image (iso or img file format) which is what you currently have.
you need to remove the hard disk from the netbook and put it into your desktop or some other laptop. You may need an adapter, but it’s posiible to make one yourself.
Since you cant boot from anything that’s the only real option you have. If you have a digital camera or iPod, you can try using that as a flash drive.
(Make sure the camera is set to use USB MASS STORAGE not PIctBridge)
