I somehow have 13.67GB of memory that is almost gone and I don’t know where it went. I need to free up space…but not by deleting system32! I have had some people tell me that system32 is vital but others say that it is crap.
Disk cleanup did not do much and I don’t even have enough space to defragment.

If you go to start-run-type "cmd"-type "format C:" and then hit enter and say yes to any confirmation it will reformat your data more efficiently to save space and it will delete any unneeded files.
There are some programs available that will clean up useless memory, remove unused programs, and clean up your registry. This will work wonders to speed up your computer.
You can get a free scan and diagnosis at http://www.registry-clean-up.net
go to all programs>accesories>system tools>disk cleanup

there on many videos on youtube how to clean up your PC
System32 is essential however there may be some unessary files in that directory that you do not need. But to be safe leave the directory alone.
Now….First off we need to answer the question where did all of your space go?
If you are not particularly sure then try deleting all of your temporary internet files and cached files.
The safest way to do this is to go to start\run\ then type cleanmgr Chose the disk that you want to cleanup and thats it.
next Run a disk defragmenter to ensure that ure hard disk is working like it should. and finally go to start\run and type msconfig and ensure that you have only what should be used to startup your pc.
Hope this helped.
