I have two accounts, on i use, and the other just incase i screw up badly… I have restored my computer like 4 times (im not very wise when it comes to adding crap to my computer).. but anyway, how do i free up some space, my computer is fast, but i would like to have some more room. U must try Vopt-Vopt lets you defrag and pack your disk drive to maintain optimal performance and reliability. Vopt’s speed makes daily defragging both practical and desirable. Vopt also provides tools to assist you in maintaining your system, reclaiming wasted disk space, and protecting your privacy.
or Clean MemXp if ur os is xp.
get diskdefragger AND CCleaner
cleans up crap!
A really good cleaner free is ccleaner. I have removed hundreds of mb in one go with this on only a 40gb drive. People only talk about virus scanners when a cleaner is also useful.
Defrag as everyone suggests is also good , maybe about once per month.
Buy extra space.
I do not know what OS you use but if it is Windows Vista you might have more memory left than you think. Assuming the system restore is on it will use up to 15% of the hard drive memory creating those periodic "snapshots". In your case that is as much as 33gb. You can delete all the old restore points but they will just be made again. People recommend that you do not turn off the system restore because who knows when you might need it. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
you can defragment your hard drive, which means basically squeezing all your data together so you have more space.
or you can buy an external harddrive. they are relatively inexpensive nowadays
do a disk cleanup
delete unnecessary programs
defragment the disk
