I dont want to download any programs or buy anymore program, they dont work. Ive tried Norton, Trend Micro, spy-bot and ad-aware. Nothings worked. Not one bit. Can I completely clean my computer like reformating it. Just completely clean it, like starting from a clean slate or something?
btw i dont know they exact names of the viruses. My computer says they are trojans, backdoors, etc.
What is formatting? I have never heard of it.

if you are determined to completely wipe your hard drive(s) and start fresh, use Copywipe, it’s free off the net. it completely wipes your bios hard drive. takes a while. then just go to setup, and put cd drive first on boot up sequence. put your win xp in the cd, and install.
Format, run a virus scan (Avast! is the best)

One thing virus and spyware retailers will not tell you is: there is not ONE piece of software out there that will protect your computer from everything. The best way is to use multiple scanners, but seeing how you don’t want to go through all the scanning, reformatting is your best bet. Of course you will want to make sure you have a backup of all your important information because everything will be erased. Just make sure you have your system’s Recovery Disk (Operating System Disk). If you don’t have the disks, see if you have a recovery partition. Let me know if you have any questions, hope this helps…
formatting will get rid of 99% of all viruses. There are some that hid deep in the hard drive’s partition tables/boot sectors. But those are rare and mostly dead.
format, reinstall OS, install anti-virus/spyware.
Of course many viruses can be cleaned if you do it right. But the best way is a format.
