I know how to fix the "run on memory" error. It’s called virtual memory. It’s like fake RAM, and it really speeds up your computer. I also know of a webpage that has a LOT of other tips to increase your computer’s speed. It only has tips that are easy to do, free, and no "fake" programs or anything like that are required to speed up your pc. It also talks about how to increase your virtual memory. Here’s the link:

If your pc has error, you can check your pc health online:

You can use a registry cleaner to clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some registry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Every time you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you’ve installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it’s Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Registry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically!
There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

You can download and scan your computer for free.
Most computers actually run slow because of a hidden part of your system, which is constantly being used by Windows. This part of your PC is called the "registry" and is the central database for Windows, which stores everything from your latest emails to your desktop wallpaper. It’s one of the most important parts of Windows and can easily make your PC run slow. The more corrupt registry files your computer has, the more it struggles to read them. The files which makes it run slower and slower. To fix this, you simply need to use a registry cleaner http://computer-e-book-money.com/ . These are small software tools which actually work by scanning through the registry and fixing any bad files that are in there. This then allows Windows to read as many files as it wants, when it wants to.
First go to My Computer then right click on the main hard drive (usually Local Disk (C:)) and click on Properties.
You will see a box pop up and if your computer is highly cluttered as it seems, it will take a long time for another window to open up. Tick all the boxes for all the available deletable files then click okay.
Wait for it to finish cleaning up, then restart.
go back to my computer then right click on the main hard drive and click on Properties. click on the Tools tab and click defragment. Run the Defragment tool OVERNIGHT as this could take well into 13-16 hours (depending on amount of file space).
Finish this then restart to see the difference in system boot time.
These two things should be done once a month.
NOTE: Do it in this order! There is no point in defragmenting files that youre just going to delete!
There are a few ways
1. run the disk cleanup wizard. It’s on start > all programs > accessories > system tools > disk cleanup
2. also run the defragmenter start > all programs > accessories > system tools > disk defragmenter
3. thridly click start > then run – type "msconfig" in the box provided. A window will appear. You can change what programs will start automatically on boot up what services run and some other helpful stuff. Be careful though, some programs are required in order for Window to run properly
Asside from software. Sometimes opening up your computer can help. There might be some dust inside that’s causing friction and slowing it down. You could get a brush and wipe it down
Add memory, and clean out all junk files with CCleaner:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
It doesn’t have to be the viruses. It could be that you have a lot of files and data on the computer. Try putting all the files in one folder. Or it could be time to get a new computer with more memory.
How about you try clearing out the cookies like my computer was slow until someone showed me how to clear out the cookies. (cookies are just like junk mail and other junky stuff that make your computer slow.. like smiley central or aim and stuff like that)
Memory sticks don’t cost that much to upgrade. You should goto your add/remove programs in the control panel (click on start or the windows logo) goto control panel, than to add and remove and remove unnecessary programs . Once you done that , delete other programs.
Delete all the files and programs you do not need
And check which programs are running in the background
Computer errors:
Infect spyware
Registry problem
You are infected with spyware if:
* You see too much pop-up advertisements.
* Your browser has toolbars that you haven’t installed.
* Your homepage has changed (and you can’t change it back).
* Other settings have changed without your permission.
* Your computer is slow.
To get rid of spyware and keep your computer clean you can use an antispyware or even more.
You can download a antispyware software.
