Registry Fragmentation
Registry is accessed by almost all the installed programs and your operating system itself. Why is computer slow and freezing has to do with the fragmented registry data. You have to download a PC Optimizer software that includes Registry Defragmenter tool such as Reginout to perform system maintenance tasks.
Too Many Programs are Installed
Installing too many programs make your computer slow and freezing. You have to uninstall the unwanted programs.
1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click Programs | Uninstall a Program.
3. Select a program to remove.
4. Click Uninstall button.
5. Follow the wizard.
6. Reboot the computer after completion.
Insufficient RAM
Sometimes computer runs slow and starts freezing due to an insufficient RAM. You have to install additional RAMs if required.
Lack of Proper Configurations
You will feel that your computer is slow and freezing if you haven’t set Windows for best performance.
1. Right click My Computer.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click Advanced System Settings.
4. Click Advanced tab.
5. Click Settings button under Performance frame.
6. Select the option Adjust for best performance.
7. Click Apply | OK | OK.
Junk Registry Keys
Storing junk entries in the registry makes your computer slow and freezing. You have to delete such junk entries using a Registry Cleaner and PC Optimizer software.
Download and run "clean up" get it here http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=72. It asks for a dollar donation but you don’t have to give. Then download and run Advanced system care 4 get it here http://download.cnet.com/3001-2086_4-10407614.html?spi=47a2cf9cd9ec751802d301f957da2e47. Both of these are free utilities. You can also use the tools in advanced system cleaner to disable startup item u don’t need and clean up your hard drive and run the register cleaner etc…
might be a rough program lost in your system or just a virus. Since you seem pretty computer savy ill just give it to yah strait.. Go to run and enter "msconfig" then go to startup and disable almost all of your programs that run when you go to start ur system up. Also from there go online and find a program known as "malware bytes" use that and it should do a clean sweep of your system and find out all the nasty programs you could have. Even Norton or McAfee doesn’t even do as good of a job as it does.
Hope that helps!
