   try system restore,it helps alot, restores when your computer was not slow,if you have not got an anti virus software it might be a virus i recommend you download avg anti virus… its free

   Try Advanced System Care (cnet.com).
   It is the best computer cleaning program.
   Be sure to run Smart Defrag, it is not the same as Windows Defrag.
   Using Startup Manger will do the same thing as that Youtube Video in a previous answer.

   Never use "add or remove programs to un-install programs.
   It leaves parts of the programs behind.
   Use Advanced System Care : Advanced Uninstaller.

   You can not use 2 anti-virus programs without a conflict resulting in a slow computer.

   IBot360 slows the computer down the least and works the best in my opinion.
   Avast does not slow down a computer and it is highly rated.
   Microsoft Security Essentials is really slow.
   AVG is slow.
   ZoneAlarm Pro did not pass my virus test.
   Panda did not pass my virus test.
   Malwarebytes is slow.

   Go to FileHippo.com and click on update checker to get all your important programs updated at once.
   Turn off your automatic updates on your individual programs.
   You don’t want several programs updating while you are trying to watch a video.

   If you did not have good security programs or un-install programs properly then it might be best to format your computer.
   Security programs keep your computer safe but are not as good at fixing all you problems after the system gets trashed.
   Backup all your stuff on a USB drive and If necessary buy a new windows disk.
   It will still be cheaper then taking it to the shop.
   Formatting is easy, Just follow the instructions.
