When I just had a printer I had the capability to send a fax and to copy a document. My current printer does not do that. So what I’m saying is you need to see the booklet that came with it to see if it will make a copy from a piece of paper….just so you will know what it CAN do.
Now if you want to scan you need to buy a scanner. I’m on my 3rd scanner and they come with a program cd that you install onto your pc.. This scanner is a cheapie (and sounds like a cheapie) for $78 but it works fine. It can save to your documents file then you can send a fax or email and include that document or can print out that document.
Now I understand (from Staples) that there is now a new 2-in-1 printer-scanner. I didn’t get one because usually either the printer or the scanenr goes down for me and it would be difficult to have an extra part of a large piece of equipment just sitting in my small apartment and just taking up room. If yours is this new printer-scanner machine and you have questions then I’d suggest you either write, email or call the manufacturer and ask your question. If you can’t get an answer or a quick answer then call a salesperson at the place who sold you the product.
Forget all of the printers buttons
GO into ‘My Pictures’ folder on your comp..
Click ‘Get images from scanner or camera’
It will then start a wizard to take you step my step through the process. It will access your scanner, scan the image then help you save it as a jpeg into the folder of your choice!
