   Remove anything you don’t use or need- programs and files.

   Video files take up a LOT of space so if you don’t watch something anymore, or can burn it to a dvd, then get rid of it.

   Compress old files.

   Clean up temporary internet files and cookies.

   Make sure you don’t have spyware/adware/a virus slowing you down.

   Limit the amount of programs you have running at one time.

   Delete stuff. Reformat. Or upgrade your components. There’s no magic involved. Those are the answers. If you don’t like them, oh well. I’m not trying to be mean, it’s just ridiculous to ask a question and then refuse to accept the best and most accurate answer.

   There are many way to speed up your computer. De-frag your hard drive is a start. Get rid of unused programs. Get some some spyware and anti virus software, if you look there are some great free products out there. http://www.spybot.com is one of the best anti-spywere programs out there. Also download a anti virus program, some cost money, but most come with a 30 day trial, so watch what you download off the internet. Good luck.
