   download ccleaner and delete as many unused programs as you can with revo uninstaller. after that, if it still doesnt work, i would recommend completely rebooting your computer, not just restart.

   after that, consider hardware upgrade, especially RAM. If you have vista, a 30 dollar 1 Gig chip will make all the difference in the world.
