   yes you can add more memory. go to crucial.com and run the test to see how much memory you have, then u can purchase the same memory on newegg.com for cheaper (even from another brand)
   i wouldnt want any less than 1gb of memory on an xp machine and no less than 2gb on a vista machine, if your system uses ddr2, (if its somewhat new) you can purchase 4gb of ram from newegg.com for about $30 and itll be blazing fast. if your computer is really old though (more than about 5 years old) you are screwed though.

   Add more RAM, defragment your harddrive, make sure you dont have spyware that can slow your computer down and check for viruses,

   Download and run CCleaner. It will remove unneeded leftover junk. Un install and remove anything you don’t need and De frag your hard drive. Adding more memory might help some.
