With pc optimizer pro you can safely clean, repair and optimize your computer.

There are several primary reasons could cause your computer to be slow and also some softwares you can download to speed up it.
First,Corruption and Errors within your registry. The registry is a main part of your computer’s Operating System. With time, as you use Windows and install and uninstall programs, your registry will get congested and full of errors. So your computer could slow down. So, if you can clean it up this problem can be solved.Sometimes you can speed computer up by 300%. To clean up registry,You can download a software called regsitry cleaner—Clean registry, remnant, corrupt files and temp files,history,cookies,etc.. This site:

Second,Your computer is loaded with spyware/adware.spyware/adware hamper your computer’s performance. It use system resources and slow your computer down.
So, to speed up your slow computer, use a registry cleaner software and clean your registry files first. It will make all the difference, and provide you with the immediate fix you need for your slow computer. Then, download a good anti-spyware to get rid of spyware/adware in your computer.
If your virus/spyware free, there are a couple things you can do get your computer working faster. If you using your computer for normal stuff and not gaming. You don’t always need more RAM you just need to perform a few maintenance task.
First, if you haven’t cleaned your registry in a while. This is necessary. Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC’s resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed. Do a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.

2. Clear your Windows cache files, this is your temporary file. It can grow up to a large volume and stop your computer from using RAM properly. In a sense slow it down by preventing it from using free space. Here is how:
1. Quit Internet Explorer, Firefox, or any other web browser
2. Click Start, click "Control Panel", and then double-click "Internet Options".
3. On the General tab, click "Delete Files" under Temporary Internet Files.
4. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the "Delete all offline content" check box , and then click OK.
5. Click OK.
3. Manage your startups. Your excess CPU usage is due to too many programs running in the background. You can cut these to barebones by alter your msconfig. Here is how:
1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type "msconfig.exe"
4. In the "system configuration utility",click either "service" or "startup" tab
5. Uncheck all programs that your are no longer using.
6. Click "OK"
You can do disk defragmentation from your system tools.
You can download ccleaner, or download other disk cleaning software. Oh yeah I forgot. Buy regcure or download other registry cleaners.
– clean with ashampoo’s winoptimizer, defrag with diskeeper, and use tunexp to optimize reboots
– remove unnecessary xp programs using xplite pro, even use the shrink function to delete the uninstaller of each windows update you installed, which can accumulate to more than a gigabyte of space
– upgrade to a faster processor, add more ram
– use a very fast usb thumbrdrive (made for vista’s readyboost) and use it with eboostr. i am using this with an 8gb sandisk usb thumbdrive, and it makes my system faster.
– uncheck all enhancements by windows xp (like fading menus, shadows)
– remove programs with revo uninstaller, it removes programs better than add/ remove of windows. read the instructions before using.
– uninstall program using sql server express, other server or database like microsoft accounting. i dont really know what’s the reason behind this, but it can slow down my system
– other programs that i noticed to slow down my system: nero, omnipage
– use autopatcher.com to update windows. it downloads all updates into your computer, then lets you choose what updates to install. it also offers tweaks that makes xp less annoying. it also contains mike lin’s startup control panel, which you can use to uncheck unnecessaqry programs starting up during reboots.
– try using the 40kb program at lvllord.de to make internet using windows xp sp2 faster. read the instructions before using. i also notice that xp sp3 is slow esp surfing the internet. so uninstall sp3.
hope that these help you.
also try to see whether your processor supports intel’s application accelerator, it’s a free to download program. but use it only if your processor supports it.

run the test and recomends stuff you can buy that is guaranteed to be compatible with your system.. you can buy the ram right off their website or just write down what u need and go to the store and get it.
You might jsut have a lot of programs installed in the same drive as where you installed Windows. If you have alot of programs, like games or even music, it will always take a long time to load. i have quad core Q6600, and it still takes about 15-20sec to do initial start up. after like when i first installed about 2-3sec. its just hard drive space, theres just more programs that your computer needs to load up to function correctly. it probably isnt a virus.
my advice: get a new computer xD
Clean up the desktop and the task bar. Check if your ram is at least 512MB, And it it is 128MB, ensure that at least that much is working. To check that just right click on "My computer" -> Properties, click the General tab. See the ram in the bottom. Round it off to the next highest power of 2.
eg. Round off 98 to 128.
Start->Run->type "msconfig" without quotes
Goto startup tab and uncheck everything except your Antivirus.
Restart the system.
and also…….
Start->Run->type "Prefetch"
Delete everything in that folder

You may need more random access memory (RAM) installed for your system to run more effectively. Another MAJOR issue is dust, believe it or not. I have a computer around the same age as yours, although I don’t reguarly use it. Build up of dust can really slow down applications and even the start menu. My dad cleaned it thoroughly, re-inserting RAM and graphics cards, dusting fans, CPU chips and heatsinks. I honestly thought there would be no difference but to my surprise it had totally turned around. It took about 2-3 minutes for the start menu to actually show its contents, which is ridiculous, but after this short system maintenance the problem was solved.
