Every time I make a new tab (using the tab button) it goes straight to About:blank. Is there a way to fix this?
I’m almost positive its not a virus.

Its normal, its to make the tab load faster so you can instantly type in your website. Its a time-saver. Most people would rather not wait for their homepage to load before typing in their destination.
make google yahoo, or msn your homepage or any other search engine used frequently
go to ‘Tools’ and click – Internet Options. Then on the General tab, go to the bottom where it says tabs and click settings. You should be able to fix it there
When you first install the new internet explorer and open a new tab, it says "You have opened a new tab. Click this check mark to open about:blank next time instead of seeing this page"
At some point, you clicked that check mark. Now you see about:blank instead of "you’ve opened a new tab"
about:blank is COMPLETELY normal…it is just a blank page so you can enter the web address you want to go to.
However, if you would prefer "you’ve opened a new tab", you should find a way to reinstall internet explorer 7.
yeah its not a virus there is a button it says "don’t show this page again" check it and the next time u opn it it will go to your homepage.
In the desktop right click internet explorer then properties … there you can change the homepage … so wvery time you open the explorer itll direct into your homepage
If you prefer that your home page appear when you open a new tab, follow these steps.

2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab, and then, under Tabs, click Settings.
4. In the Tabbed Browsing Settings dialog box, select the Open home page for new tabs instead of a blank page check box, and then click OK twice.
