   Why is it people go to such an extreme?

   Two options
   1 – Download Microsoft essentials, Maliscious software removal tool and malwarebytes

   2 – Pay the money and get a good A/V software that will keep your computer clean… NIS 2011

   Option 3 – find someone that has option 2, plug your drive into their computer as a "Slave" drive scan your drive several times to make sure nothing got missed. Put it back in your computer and install some decent A/V protection.

   I do not unless you pay me about 150 bucks.

   You need to find your restoration CD from the manufacturer(oh you didn’t get one?)

   Since they rarely give those anymore and just tell you to MAKE ONE as soon as you get the computer, which of course no one does.

   You are basically stuck going to a vampire like me, sorry. we do try to smile and say Thank-you.

   put your install CD in and boot to your cd drive and format the drive and reinstall your system .

   not knowing model of pc , i can only say re format.
