yes .. go to microsoft.com and download the xp pro boot disk and copy this bood disk and xp pro installation files in a new cd..then go to bios and edit the boot devis priority to your cd rom ( what ever it may be) . then restart your computer again . and you should get this mess
"press any key to boot from cd". and there you go
Firdt of all you need a win xp cd-rom.
After this you need to change the boot order from the bios…
ie your boot order should be like this is you dont want to use a floppy:
1st :cd rom
2nd: hard disk
3rd:floppy or none
put in the cd rom and restart ur pc.
a option will come in ur screen where u choose start computer with cd-rom support.
after that follow the instructions.
you will be able to install a clean fresh copy.
PS:YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE BIOS SETTINGS (SAVE AND EXIT OUT THERE)WHEN YOU RESTSRT UR PC SOMETHING IS WRITTEN LIKE PRESS DEL TO ENTER SETTINGS OR SIMILAR.
You might need to enter the BIOS at the startup and change the boot sequence for the CD to pick up at the Boot. Even better, you only need to insert CD and type Setup. It will then go through a series of windows and in some cases format the hard drive for you!

you dont need to use a floppy if you have a winxp cd
Its too easy bro,
Insert the XP Cd, and restart your computer, then go to bios setup and select cd rom as your first boot device, then restart again, now the pc will be booted from cd and it will show your existing copy of windows in some drive, just select the same drive, it will ask if you want to format it, click yes, it will ask to format via ntfs or fat32, if you arnt using any other windows on the same pc like win98 etc, then choose ntfs, otherwise choose fat32, then it will format your pc and will start copying new files to your hard drive, it will restart itself after copying the files, this time dont do anything, when it will not get a response from your side, instead of booting from cd-rom it will boot from the hard drive… and thts all, rest the windows itself will guide you.
