   Hey,

   There are quite a few things you can do that may get your speed back.

   1) Defragment your hard drive
   2) Run a virus check and spyware check.
   3) Download CCleaner and have it clean up your registry.
   4) Empty your recycle bin
   5) Free up some hard drive space if you can. This could help you a lot.
   6) One last simple tip is to restart all of your routers and your computer itself if you haven’t done so.

   First, backup all your data to an external medium.

   Then, if you have no hardware problems, do this:

   (1) Run a FULL anti-virus scan with a good virus scanner. Get free editions of Avast or Antivir. Use the latest virus definitions file. But don’t install or run more than one anti-virus at the same time.

   (3) Ensure all Microsoft security updates are applied.

   you update your computer once in a while. But i suggest you bring it to computer center (tech) its not so expensive at least some problem of your computer maybe fixed also.

    assuming u r talking abt the ram of ur computer make sure that all the not needed programs which use up a lot of ram are closed using task manager while simultaneously closing all the programs that use up a lot of ur bandwith.for examle ur antivirus(not advisable to close ur antivirus but if u do plz run a scan after u switch it bac on).

    There is couple of thing you can do before you pay someone
    1. msconfig clean up start up items
    2.add memory
    3 disk clean up
    4 defrag your hdd
    5 clean up temp files and cookies and reset browser
    6 run a virus scan
    7 uninstall unwanted programs

    go to run

    type in %temp% press go
    delete everything in there because those are all temporary files that can be deleted

    you can also defrag but i wont explain it look it up on youtube or something

    You have to be a little more specific. What is slow about the computer? Does it boot slow? Take forever for programs to load? Internet slow?

    Also, what kind of computer do you have? Hardware?
