Hi,
Here is the information to do some simple system optimization tricks that will help you enhance the computer performance. You should follow them regularly, at least once in a week.
Here is what you need to do:
1. Defrag all the drives on your computer
2. Clean-up the registry and fix errors using an external registry cleaning software, such as, RegInOut
3. Defrag the registry
4. Prevent execution of unwanted startup and services items
5. Delete the files, stuff you no longer require
6. Uninstall the programs that you do not use
7. Set-up your system for best performance; rather than best appearance
8. Install additional memory (RAM)
9. Install a graphics card

Another reason of slowing down your computer is virus infection. Often, viruses do a lot of processes without your knowledge in the background, and that’s why, your system gets slowed. So, installing a good antivirus software and updating it regularly will be a best choice. I will suggest Free Avast of Kaspersky Pure.

The problem with slow computers is that most of the time. It’s all to do with a hidden part of your system .This part of your system is called the ‘registry’ and is a huge database which stores all the settings and options for your PC.The reason why the registry is responsible for making your computer run slow is because it is actually prone to getting corrupt and damaged. Because Windows is constantly using the database when you’re using your computer, it’s constantly got 100’s of registry files open. This unfortunately means that Windows gets confused, leading it to save the registry files wrong, making them incredibly difficult for your computer to read. Think of them as files which are all jumbled up, making your computer have to spend longer to read them. You just need to be able to clean out all the damaged files from the registry, allowing Windows to read all the files it needs, when it needs them. And to do this, you just need to use a tool called a ‘registry cleaner’.I should like to commend Registry Easy to you !http://clean-computer-run-quickly.com
you have to many things on your computer. When your computer is started, click start, go to the control panel on the right side column, ad then click add of remove programs and delete anything that isn’t crucial.
your best bet would be to reformat it, this will essentially make the computer brand new again. in a way…
but make sure you have the disc to do that, and go to the website to find the drivers to reinstall the audio, video, network, chipsets and all the other goodies.
some of the old xp computers, like older dells, used to come with the reinstallation cds. nowadays you have to buy them.
but if it did come with it, you should definately do it.
You need to take three steps to speed up your computer or laptop:
1. Add more RAM
2. Uninstall all software’s that you do not use.
3. Select a good registry cleaner and PC optimizer such as Reginout from Intel Software Directory http://ibx.intel.com/directory/Default.aspx
I am sure these three steps will help you a lot.
Thanks.
