   Leave the registry alone. It’s almost never the cause of problems.

   Install, uncheck the free google toolbar if you don’t want it
   the first time it scans a warning pops up, it won’t erase anything thats
   important. I have used it for over ten years on XP, Win2k, Vista and now
   Win7. Next let it scan your registry, let it fix all it finds, it won’t harm your computer
   I never do the backup
   close it and reboot. see if you are running faster
