You need not get anti-virus in a CD. You can download antivirus directly from the web. There are many free antivirus software intended only for home and personal use. You can install that by connecting to the web or by downloading the installer package from the web to another system and installing it in your system.
I suggest avast or AVG for home use. Even Microsoft security essentials is good.
If you are going to be running Windows, you can download and use "Microsoft Securities Essentials" it’s great, and it’s FREE. That makes it the best!
You can use the internet or a USB drive to install antivirus.
order it online…you don’t need a disk to install it
Chances are, the netbook will have Windows 7 Startup Edition pre-installed so you are entitled to download and install Microsoft Security Essentials:
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
It’s available for legitimate users of Windows OS.
However, the netbook might also have an antivirus program bundled — or should I say bungled — with a 30-day trial version of Norton, McAfee or TrendMicro. They require payment for a 1-year subscription so unless you are willing to pay extra, just use MSE. It’s absolutely free and effective too.
