I have a 512MB SD…Everything was fine until 1 day, my Kodak C613 could no longer read it and said it needs to be reformatted, I tried reformatting it using the digital camera but it couldnt. I tried using it in my PC and tried to reformat it under Windows VIsta but it only reads "242 MB" when its supposed to be 512mb. I tried it anyway but it still couldnt no matter what even quick or quick format unchecked… I tried downlaoding a format utility and it reads the same 242MB as the size… I was still able to recover most of my lost photos using recovery software but I need to make it back to 512 again. Do you know if my SD card is already damaged?? Help, help please…

Never use a PC or Mac to format any digital memory card.
Get hold of the manufacturer of the card and see what they will do. In the mean time, get a couple of 1GB cards … they are under $15 each and that should keep you going until the other card is replaced or repaired.
Memory cards are dirt cheap now…so why don’t you just go out and buy a new one?
And make sure you format the card BEFORE you use it the first time. This should be done in the camera…and make sure you format the card regularly after that, to prevent card errors.
