take the ball out and used canned air to blow the dust out of the area it was in. Wipe the ball with a lint free cloth and replace =)
Definitely do not rinse it under water. I’m assuming you are still using a trackball mouse. Take the trackball out, and use tweezers to scrape and lift the fuzz off the wheels. Use some abrasive – like a kitchen sink sponge-mesh – to clean your mouse pad, also.
Open the bottom part where the ball is on the bottom of the mouse. Take it out and just clean the inside and the ball with something that won’t leave anything on it (it could make it worse). Put it back and you should be good!(:
Do not use water.
I use a trackless mouse, or one without a track ball. So I have not had to clean one lately. Use compressed air if you have it.
I think that isopropyl alcohol can be used with a q-tip.
