It all depends on the format of the pictures (how big they are in kbs) and how fast your DVD burner writes the data on it & how fast your HD transfers information…(Bus speed too)
If you have a x16 burner it will write a lot faster than say a x1 burner…The processor doesn’t really come into play that much on this…
It depends on the size of the pics (HD,compression etc) also the 1 hour wait time that you see may not be correct as it continues you’ll see that the time will decrease maybe from 1 hr to 45 minutes in 30seconds.
It also depends on what speed your DVD burner dirve is as well as the blank disc you’re using.
You don’t copy pictures to a DVD… thats for video, etc. You copy photos to a blank CD. How long it will take depends on your burner’s speed and how many you can fit on the disk depends on the size of the photos.
Processor has nothing to do with it. It’s the write speed of your DVD Burner.
I don’t think it should take that long, but sometimes that’s just the way the wind blows.
Unfortunately, yes. Other than it has to be fast enough to keep up with the DVD drive, it is the DVD drive that determines how long it will take. Things such as your hard drive spindle speed, speed of the DVD drive, data rate, and much more become involved. Basically, it’s easier to say that a DVD drive can accept data at a certain speed, determined by the design of the drive. The DVD drive is the bottleneck and is not dependent on the # processors or their speed, etc..
the link below will give you some better in put on this.
