save yourself some money and open up the side panel and clean the fan and anywhere you see dust
buy some canned air (local drugstore/walmart), unplug case, open case, take case outside (lots of dust flies everywhere), point, spray canned air
if there still is alot of dust, just vaccum the inside of the case (my mom did this cuz shes a neat freak)
First you should get a can of compressed air and then unplug everything from the back of the computer (keyboard, mouse, electric cable, monitor etc.). Now, after everything is unplugged take off the cover of your computer. Once the cover is off spray the computer with short bursts of air. Make sure you clean the fans. If there is a large fan leading to the outside of the computer unscrew it, move it out of the way and then clean the stuff behind the fan.
Yes you can, provided that your warranty is up! If it is not, do not break the label with the serial# make and model, or your warranty will be void.
If you don’t have your paperwork that came with the pc, look it up at the manufacter website, and look for the schematics, and manuel.
Don’t work on carpet, find a place not carpeted, put on a rubber mat, open up the case by unscrewing the screws. If you have an anti static braclet, put it on, if not, run your hands around the edges of the case after opening to discharge any static electricity, of coarse, it is powered down and unplugged right??///??? I hope!!!!
Use a can of compressed air, you can have a small clean paint brush of various sizes to brush away dust build up. If you don’t have compressed air, get a blow dryer that blows cool air, not hot. Clean and recover, putting on screw back securely. Note***** Go to the back to blow out the power supply.
Air in a can mate. Blows it all out. Sorted. No risks.
Hi. The best way to do this, is with a can of compressed air. You can purchase this at walmart for about 5 bucks. It is completely safe to use inside your computer. Just point it and blow the dust out of your computer. Even if you see what appears to be a liquid residue while you are spraying, don’t worry, it disappears very quickly and will not harm your computer.
Dust can cause components in your computer to overheat, which is why it’s good to blow it out periodically (once every few months).
Hope this helps! Please visit my blog at http://www.garyfarnam.org for other technology tips and articles.
Definitely clean the inside. The Dust Can seriously Damage and Slow down your computer. The safest way to clean it is to go outside and blow the dust out with an Air Can. They can be Purchased almost anywhere they sell computer supplies. You might even find it at a local Drugstore like CVS or walgreens.
Turn off, unplug. Take your computer outside because a lot of dust will fly around. Use an air duster (can of compressed air) on all components like your vents, fans and heat sink.
