delete all the temporary files that are stored in the cache
open up your browser, and clean / delete all the browsing history
Yes, ask a computer mate to re-format it. PC technicians can find anything. Deleting stuff only deletes where it’s stored.
I recommend you to perform System Recovery. Recovery will restore the laptop to factory settings.
Visit the below link for more information:

Have a look at http://www.fileshredder.org/
This will over-write and make any file fragments un-recoverable
Just reformat it if ur that paranoid about it
Reformatting and erasing file fragments are NOT adequate. The proper solution for what you’re wanting to achieve is called a "wipe". You need to wipe the hard drive of everything, so that even with "recovery tools" (or whatever), no one gets/finds/has to deal with any of your old stuff. The best program to use is called DBAN. You can get it here: it’s FREE: http://www.dban.org/download. THEN, after doing, as you said, a wipe, you can reinstall the OS using the disk that came with the computer before returning it to Costco. Hope this helps!
