I had Pop-up Virus and I used Mcafee to clean them. It didn’t clean them well. Then I used Spybot. But I think Spybot deleted some of my system files in Window XP. I can’t boot my computer now. I have Dell reinstallation CD. But I don’t want to install the Whole Window and erase all my data and softwares. Some of my softwares, such as Microsoft Office, came with my Dell computer but I don’t have the CD to re-install them. Is it possible I can boot my computer and repair my Window XP?
Please help!
Thanks everyone! I’ll try your advices at home tonight.

have you tried safemode? F8 when boot…. If you can then save everything that you don’t want to lose… and do a clean install… best way to go… else you can download any liveCD (search google) and boot from that
Insert Windows CD > Restart > press "DEL" while restarting, go to Set Up, select start disk and use CD Rom as Primary.
When the blue screen appear look in the bottom in the first minute until you see a message "repair windows" ans press the requested key.
It will repair the OS and wont delete your data.
Oh, you have no choice for your Os without installation windows again. I know you dont want to lose some programs without softwares to reinstall for using. Dont be angry. You have to continued with a windows cd for installation. Then you can choose upgrading instead of installing new one. The Windows will be installed into your pc without formatting your driver. So your data will be preserved.
