   Try running in safe mode to accomplish this restart your computer you should get that screen you always get most of the time its the company that made your machine and some computer specs. When this comes up tap F8 and continue to do so until the windows loading screen pops up When this happens you should be in save mode. Reset the screen size again and see if that works. Then install your favorite Anti-Virus to get rid of the virus. Check out http://free.grisoft.com/ for a great free virus scanner.

   either use your windows xp install disc that came with the computer or use the xp recovery disc that you should have made or got during installation of windows

   only use this option if nothing else works
