   Use CCleaner available free through CNET http://www.downloads.com
   Run both the disk and registry cleaner.

   Another good disk cleaner is COMODO Registry Cleaner and Wise Disk Cleaner (don’t do the registry with this product).these are also free through CNET

   Safety.Live.com is Microsoft’s online virus scanner it also has a separate registry cleaner…ccleaner from piriform.com is good stuff both are free

   I recommend using the registry cleaning option in CCleaner bundled with RegCleaner:

   Instructions: Open program, click Registry Cleaner on left hand side, and click scan registry at the top.

   And yes, they are both free to use.
