I wouldn’t clean the registry. That could lead to some nasty problems. Its best just to leave the registry alone unless you really know what you are doing.

P.S. always make sure you save or back up your computer just in case. i have always used R.M. and have NEVER had a problem. this mainly cleans your registry of old files that are not in use.
another program to try is CCLEANER aka Crap Cleaner. This is a free programs that also works very well!!!!!
